A Rare Interview with Maison Martin Margiela

Dear phantom readers. I wanted to share this interview with you, because Margiela is as elusive as he is genuis (and maybe elusiveness is part of the genius?). I was glad to see that his reasons for anonymity parallel the views I expressed in my Masters thesis. I also like his preoccupation with the passing moment - how Baudelearian of him (see quote #2).

this is the worst fashion blog to ever be written. you have the most boring content ever. pathetic and tired. offer something new atleast. just plain awful.

haha! well, i did enjoy the interview! thx for the link!

anyway, it´s always good to see that are designers that follow a path, that create collections that are the evolution and development of their past work, that are always growing, that arent just following trends.

I completely disagree with this being the 'worst fashion blog'. When writing a biased blog about fashion, most tend to exert elitism (whether it be a defense mechanism for any objectionable statements, I haven't really figured it out). The writer isn't just talking about clothing that looks good, he's bringing the entire package. To appreciate the designer is to appreciate the clothes; if you knew anything about Margiela I'm sure you'd feel more gratitude.
